I asked them how does a valve spring in an engine get cycled millions of times and not routinely fail?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5082954078864845206.post-66146370694153203982010-10-22T08:57:55.570-04:002010-10-22T08:57:55.570-04:00Fox's customer service is pretty awesome. Didn't know they still make forks with that little travel... but I'd blame a manufacturing defect in the spring rather than your fork setup.Paulnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5082954078864845206.post-26125950373435751822010-10-21T11:47:10.658-04:002010-10-21T11:47:10.658-04:00Perspective. Most shocks/forks use this now. Basically, this means fork is locked out for slow speed forces, like pedalling, but hit a root, fast movement opens the damper to absorb the impact. Mine has manual lockout, and if I'm doing a climb thatHill Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01901432169252097296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5082954078864845206.post-81130457473474366412010-10-21T10:38:36.257-04:002010-10-21T10:38:36.257-04:00I hear you on the riding out of the saddle with a ...I hear you on the riding out of the saddle with a plush fork; It's frustrating as hell. My Fox is a couple years old and whatever model it is, it locks out when you climb out of the saddle. I'm not very knowledgeable about mtb forks, but are you familiar with this?Mookiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13291973377203391109noreply@blogger.com
